Remedy-Point.Org is strongly committed to protecting personal data. This privacy statement describes why and how we collect and use personal data and provides information about individuals’ rights. It applies to personal data provided to us, both by individuals themselves or by others. We may use personal data provided to us for any of the purposes described in this privacy statement or as otherwise stated at the point of collection.

“Remedy-Point(and “we”, “us”, or “our”) refers to Remedy-Point.Org, registered in England and with its registration address at 74 Beresford Drive, Southport, Merseyside, PR97LQ that: (1) is a contracting party for the purposes of providing or receiving services, (2) posted a position for which you are applying, or (3) you have a role or relationship with. 

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable living person. When “you” or “your” are used in this statement, we are referring to the relevant individual who is the subject of the personal data. Remedy-Point processes personal data for numerous purposes, and the means of collection, lawful basis of processing, use, disclosure, and retention periods for each purpose may differ.

Our Privacy Information Management relating to the processing of client personal information complies with the requirements of ISO/IEC 27701: 2019.

Collection of personal data

Remedy-Point processes personal data about business contacts - individuals with whom we are or may be in contact - in the course of our business activities. These business contacts include existing and potential private clients, business relationship partners, employees, officers and directors, or other representatives and contacts at corporate clients, legal and business advisers, members of the press, suppliers and other third parties and intermediaries PwC interacts with in the course of business.

Remedy-Point may collect business contacts’ details directly from the individuals themselves or the organisation which they work for or represent or, indirectly, from publicly available sources including social media sites and/or third parties, such as companies operating public relations or business development databases. Remedy-Point collects details including name, contact details (such as email address, phone number and address) and other information (such as job title, employer/organisation you are associated with, and areas of business interest).

Use of personal data

Personal data relating to business contacts is used for the following purposes:

  • Administering, managing and developing our businesses and services
    We process personal data in order to run our business, including:
    • managing and improving our relationship with clients;
    • developing and promoting our businesses, products and services (including identifying client requirements and improvements in service offerings and delivery;
    • analysing and evaluating the strength of interactions between us and a business contact. 
    • performing analytics for reporting and statistical purposes,
    • using and maintaining IT systems, and protecting the security of these;
    • hosting or facilitating the hosting of events and meetings; and
    • administering and managing our website, systems and applications, and protecting the security of these.

      The processing of the personal data relating to business contacts to administer, manage and develop our business and services is in the legitimate interests of Remedy-Point.
  • Conducting corporate research and market analytics
    We use business contacts’ information to conduct surveys or other forms of market research, and to carry out market analytics and profiling, in order to develop and offer our products and services.

    The processing of the personal data relating to business contacts when conducting corporate research and market analysis is in the legitimate interests of Remedy-Point.
  • Undertaking marketing activities, including the provision of Remedy-Point business insights and information about Remedy-Point products and services that we consider relevant to business contacts
    We process contact information and other information, such as job title, role, location, business sector and employer/organisation that individuals are associated with in order to send relevant marketing material.
    Legal grounds: Legitimate interests
    Undertaking marketing activities in order to keep business contacts up to date with market developments and Remedy-Point services and events is generally in the legitimate interest of Remedy-Point. However, where we hold a personal (i.e. non-corporate) email address for a business contact, we will only send marketing emails if the business contact has consented to receive marketing, for example where the business contact has asked us to add them to a mailing list or has ticked a box to receive marketing when visiting a Remedy-Point webpage or when signing up to an event or newsletter.

Data retention
 

Personal data of business contacts will be retained in line with our retention policy.

Personal data may be held for longer periods where extended retention periods are required by law or regulation, and/or where this may be needed to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.

You can stop receiving marketing communications from us at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will, however, need to retain basic contact information on a suppression list to prevent you from receiving future marketing. We may also still contact you for other purposes such as administrative messages or to contact you about services we are providing to you.

Individuals’ rights and how to exercise them

Individuals have certain rights over their personal data. Individuals’ rights include the rights:

You have the right to obtain confirmation of whether we process personal data about you, to receive a copy of your personal data held by us as a controller, and to obtain information about how and why we process your personal data (similar to the information provided in this privacy statement). Your right to rectification / amendment of personal data

You have the right to request for your personal data to be amended or rectified where it is inaccurate (for example, if you change your name or address), and to have any incomplete personal data completed.

To update personal data submitted to us, you may email us at Support@Remedy-Point.Org or, where appropriate, contact us via the relevant website registration page or directly amend the personal details held on relevant websites or applications with which you registered.

When practically possible, once we are informed that any personal data processed by us is no longer accurate, we will make updates as appropriate based on your updated information.

Your right to erasure

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances:

  • the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected and processed;
  • our legal basis for processing is consent, you withdraw that consent and we have no other lawful basis for the processing of your personal data (this will only apply in very limited circumstances);
  • our legal basis for processing is that the processing is necessary for legitimate interests pursued by us or a third party, you object to our processing and we do not have overriding legitimate grounds;
